Overview We are a growing private practice with 3 locations throughout Chicagoland. We are searching for a full time/part time medical optometrist to join our medical team. We provide a full range of laser, surgical, and medical eye care to a large volume of the Chicagoland area. The newest practice location is a state-of-the-art facility with a LASIK Suite. This practice is surrounded by many optometric and primary care referral sources and is seeking an energetic, self-motivated optometrist who wishes to grow with the practice. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, reliable, service-oriented, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services. An excellent bedside manner is paramount. Requirements

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certification
Completion of residency program in either anterior segment / primary care / ocular disease.
Valid Illinois state licensure to practice optometry.
Extensive experience in pre- and post op cataract and refractive procedures.
Extensive experience in discussing and managing premium IOL's
The practice offers a competitive salary and benefits; including health & dental insurance, PTO/ 2 weeks of vacation, 401K.Position can be full time right away if candidate is willing to travel to all 3 office locations. The Optometrists of the North Shore is a well-established, private practice with 2 locations in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. We relocated our Northbrook office after 40 years to a larger, upscale 3600 sq ft building and are looking for a full time associate to join our team. We currently have 4 full time OD’s and 14 qualified opticians between the two offices. The ideal candidate must be motivated and outgoing with a positive, friendly personality. Prior experience (3+ years) is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Our new office has 3 exam lanes and 2 pretest lanes equipped with brand new state of the art equipment which allows us to practice optometry to the highest level. We have used Compulink EHR since 2012 and utilize Nidek retinal cameras, Optovue IVue OCT, Zeiss Humphrey VF analyzer, Topcon slit-lamps with digital cameras, auto refractor/keratometer, Icare tonometers, and digital acuity charts. The opticians perform all the pre-tests so our optometrists can focus on performing thorough ocular health exams. We provide full scope optometry including detection and management of eye diseases (ARMD, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes), diabetic retinopathy and plaquenil screenings, myopia management, emergent care, contact lens fittings, and surgical co-management.

We offer a very competitive salary, 100% health insurance coverage, life insurance, 3 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays including 3 day weekends (Memorial & Labor Day), and 401K/profit sharing after 1 full year of employment. We will also cover malpractice ins premiums, AOA dues, licensing renewal dues, and a stipend for continuing education.

Wednesdays - 9am - 5pm
Thursdays - 1pm - 7:30pm
Fridays - 9am - 5pm
Saturdays - 9am - 2pm (off 1 per month)
Sundays - OFF
