Springfield VC Doctor
I'm Dr. Eric Botts, and I would love to welcome you into my long-established and successful group of optometry practices located in a Walmart Vision Center. We are looking for a doctor in our Springfield, IL office!
Our private group of 3 doctors has established a wealth of clinical and management experience, and we support each other across several locations in western Illinois and Iowa. Together we serve a very kind, happy, and loyal patient base who has come to rely on us for their ocular health, general and specialty contact lens fitting and eyewear needs.
The schedule is flexible but typically a full-time 5 days per week with every other Saturday being a 1/2 day.
We're looking for an OD who is dependable, personable, can provide full-scope optometry, and has strong rapport building skills.
Requirements:
- Caring and friendly attitude;
- Desire to provide your patients with the best optometric care possible;
- Passion for full-scope optometry, including contact lens fitting, diagnosis, and treatment of disease;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Aptitude to meeting and learning about the folks who work with us; and
- Extensive clinical experience is welcomed, but not necessary because we will show you the ropes and help you build a wonderful career with us.
Your focus will be on performing a medically-driven examination because primary medical eye care will be the rule not the exception in this office. You will be provided your own technician for pre-testing and all credentialing and insurance billing is provided for you.
You will also have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including:
- Fundus photography
- Visual fields
- OCT
- TearLab
- RevolutionEHR
*This is not your typical corporate retail optometric practice. I currently have an established 30-year-old practice located in a Walmart Vision Center that is everything I have described above, and I use my model to expand in other locations. My team enjoys a flexible work schedule with adequate time off to spend with family and friends.

If you have an extra day or two per week to offer some coverage I’d love to talk to you. This is a fill in opportunity so you would pay no lease fees and keep all of your exam fees. We will get you fully credentialed for this location and can help bill the insurance for you. This office has a patient list needing exams so you can start making money immediately.
